Growing higher level vegetables
Today Pascal van Delst, takes you into the world of taste and health benefits of vegetables. Koppert Cress specializes in ‘cresses’; these are seedlings of unique plants, each with their own, surprising effect on the senses. Pascal will show what growers do for the consumer by producing products that are not only tasty, but also make us healthier. He does this with scientific support from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the University of Groningen and QFOOD GmbH. For example, see with your own eyes what bioactive substances from the ' BroccoCress' do with our bodies (a BroccoCress seed contains just as much healthy nutrients as a whole head of broccoli)! And, of course, we will also try and taste some of these (apparently very tasteful) 'cresses’.
