“That will not change, it is in my genes.” Have you heard this statement? Well think again, because recent studies on ‘Epigenetics’ tells us something else! This is how it works: you get your DNA from your birth, you have inherited that. However, how your genes ‘express’ themselves, can be influenced sometimes. This adjustment in the genes is called epigenetics and your diet plays an important role – with a healthy lifestyle you can ‘lead’ your genes. For example, certain nutrients would positively affect ( "expressions" of) the genes which are involved in development of obesity, or diseases like cancer...
